Pricing for Tanzania Treks: Marangu and Mount Meru – sleep overnight in huts, not tents.
Kilimanjaro’s Marangu Route and Mount Meru climbs both have climbers sleeping in designated huts at overnight camps. For these climbs, trekkers will not carry tents, which reduces the number of porters needed to carry equipment up the mountain, resulting in an overall lower cost.
Prices Include:
Pricing for Tanzania Treks. All prices are inclusive of:
- Daily national Park fees (for Mount Kilimanjaro climbs and Mount Meru climbs),
- Wildlife Area (WMA) fees (for Ol Doinyo Lengai climbs)
- Professional, first-aid certified Mountain Guide and assistant guides (if necessary)
- Park Ranger
- Climbing permits
- All meals, kitchen equipment and a mountain chef to prepare meals
- Drinking water
- Equipment, including tents for Lemosho, Rongai, Machame climbing routes
- Porters to carry equipment and climber’s luggage
- Transportation to and from parks, or climb site (as relevant)
- Certificate upon completion of the climb
Not included in Climbing Cost:
- Airfare to and from Tanzania
- Accommodation before or after the climb
- Tips for the climbing crew: guides, cook and porters
- Personal equipment such as trekking poles, jackets and hiking boots
