You will likely continue to see wildlife throughout the drive; including animals such as giraffes, elephants, gazelles, impalas and zebras.

Nature Hike: Stop in the afternoon for a brief hike at Olmoti Crater, for a chance to stretch your legs and see the stunning waterfall. Continue toward Karatu area for dinner and overnight at a comfortable lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day : Ngorongoro Crater and Departure

The grand finale to your safari in Tanzania: Ngorongoro Crater.

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro Gate and begin descent into the world’s largest, intact volcanic caldera. There is a high chance of spotting the endangered black rhino and prides of crater lions.

About Ngorongoro Crater:  a true natural wonder, the most unique ecosystem on earth! It is home to over 20,000 large grazing animals and boasts the largest concentration of predators found on the planet. Ngorongoro was previously one of 9 volcanoes in the Rift Valley. After the massive eruption, the rater is all that remains to suggest its massive size.
Crater covers an area of 250 km square and has a depth of 600m.

In the evening, ascend the Crater and return to Arusha. If your departure flight is the same day, your driver will transfer you directly to the JRO Airport, or your onward flight to Zanzibar, if you have opted for a Zanzibar add-on beach holiday.

Half-Board: breakfast, lunch and transport included.
