Tarangire is famous for the beautiful Tarangire River, which gives water to animals year-round, and for the large herds of elephants that make their home here. There are also massive baobab trees and predators such as lions and cheetahs may be spotted in the area, as well.

In the early evening, head out of the park. Your traverse through a winding road with a view of the incredible Great Rift Valley and Lake Manyara as you head to your accommodations in Karatu, the lovely Farm of Dreams Lodge.

Lunch and Dinner and overnight included.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive to the entrance of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You’ll likely see animals as soon as you pass through the gate; babboons, monkeys and zebras are commonly sighted.

Then, begin descent into the Crater and spend the morning driving along the Crater floor.

Ngorongoro Crater is famous for it’s unique ecosystem, and boasts one of the most diverse and dense array of animals found anywhere on earth. Living in the Crater are elephants, rhinos, lions, wildebeests, hyenas, buffalo, gazelles, impalas, elands, ostriches, and so many more animals!

For lunch, drive to the Hippo Pool. Here you can enjoy bird watching (starlings are commonly spotted in the trees), and hippo watching as you enjoy a picnic lunch.

You may drive to Lake Magadi, an alkaline crater lake that fills during the rainy season, for photos of unique birds and waterfowl after lunch.

In the early evening, begin ascending out of the crater and back to Farm of Dreams Lodge for dinner and overnight.

All meals provided.

Day 3: Visit Lake Eyasi, Return to Arusha

In the morning, drive to Lake Eyasi for a full day of cultural experiences.

The Hadzabe Tribe, who live along the edge of Lake Eyasi are one of the last hunter-gatherer tribes left on earth.

You may learn how they find wild honey, make shelters, or pass on their timeless traditions, without any modern technology or even use of money.

In the early afternoon, you will enjoy a picnic lunch and then drive back to Arusha/JRO International Airport for onward flight.

If your departure flight is not in the evening/night, please let us know. We would be happy to help arrange accommodations and transport to the airport.

Breakfast, lunch and transport included.
