Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire
After a delicious breakfast, depart Arusha for Tarangire National Park, approximately 2.5 hrs drive.
The Tarangire River, which runs through the park, is a popular source of water during dry seasons, attracting animals from all over, including giraffes, zebras, lions and cheetahs.
Enjoy a full day game drive in the park, and overnight at a lovely lodge near the park. Sunsets are particularly beautiful in this area.
- Full Board: meals and overnight included.
Top Attractions: Large herds of elephants and their adorable babies. Lunch overlooking Tarangire River.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Enjoy another day in Tarangire National Park. Explore the swamp areas (a favorite of elephants) or the riverbeds, which is a popular place to see impalas, zebras and their predators – such as lions and cheetahs.
Dinner and overnight at accommodations, with option to return early to enjoy the swimming pool or sundowner drinks before dinner.
- Full Board: meals and overnight included.
Top Attractions: Ancient Baobab trees and predators during dry season.
Day 3: Tarangire to Manyara
After breakfast, you will drive to Manyara (approx 1.5 hrs drive) to experience another of Tanzania’s national parks, known for its large crater lake and stunning pink flamingos.
In the late afternoon, depart the park and head along the Great Rift Valley toward Karatu. It is especially beautiful to drive in the evening, so be sure to ask your driver to pause at the view point to get some photos.
