Serengeti National Park

Famous for its prides of lions and the Great Migration of wildebeests, zebras, and other grazing herds, Serengeti is a special place. The unique ecosystem sets it apart as a World Heritage Site, and it is home to Africa’s Big Five most dangerous animals. Lucky safari-goers may spot elusive leopards and cheetahs on the hunt in Serengeti National Park.

Tarangire National Park

The Tarangire River is an important source of water during dry seasons. The river lures herds of grazing animals, which are followed by their predators (such as lions and leopards).
Tarangire National Park is also home to some of the largest herds of elephants in East Africa.

Ngorongoro Crater

While technically not a ‘park’, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area is the site of the largest, intact volcanic caldera on earth, Ngorongoro Crater.
What appears from a distance as a giant, natural bowl is, in fact, the world’s largest concentration of wildlife.

Visitors a likely to spot lions, too many zebras to count, and endangered black rhinos that call this crater their permanent home.

Visit as a day tour or as part of a multi-day safari in Northern Tanzania.

Nyerere National Park

Previously known as Selous Game Reserve, this is Tanzania’s newest – and largest – national park. Nyerere National Park is home to many popular animals, including zebras, hippos and giraffes, but also has a large population of crocodiles that reside in the Rufiji River and groups of ferocious wild dogs that roam the savannah.

This impressive park is easily accessible from Dar es Salaam, and our Tanzanian guides highly suggest pairing your safari with a beach holiday.

the park boasts predators such as cheetahs, lions, and wild dogs, as well as magnificent giraffes and elephants, but without the crowds of the more popular national parks. This is one of the most remote parks in Tanzania.

Mahale National Park

this is one of the few places in East Africa, and the world, where visitors may walk among chimpanzees on a special mountain trek in Western Tanzania.

Gombe Stream National Park

this small national park is only accessible by boat - not by road! The park is most famous for being the park where Jane Goodall conducted her breakthrough research with chimpanzees.

Rubondo National Park

this park is composed of 10 islands located in Lake Victoria. Guests may stay overnight and feel that they have the equatorial rainforest island entirely to themselves.

Saanane National Park

another island park located in Lake Victoria, but this one falls within the city limits of Mwanza. Visitors may go fishing as part of their safari excursions.
