SAADANI SAFARI LODGE
Saadani Safari Lodge is small and intimate, with just nine individual tented cottage set along the beach, cooled by soft ocean breezes and shade by casherina trees.
Cottage are twin or double with swathes of sail cloth adoming the ceiling, large romantic Zanzibar style nets and locally carved furniture. Each is fully ensuite. (Hot and cold running water) and has an unrestricted view onto the ocean with a full-length veranda.
KISAMPA TANZANIA – Saadani
Kisampa is set in a pristine, wild area in Eastern Tanzania.
Kisampa is 100km north of Dar es Salaam and 66 km directly west of Zanzibar and adjoins Saadani National Park to the north east and has the perennial Wami River as its southern boundary.
Kisampa has ox-bow lakes, riverine forests, open grassland, wild rolling hills and steep ridges that provide breathtaking views of the surrounding areas. The diverse habitat makes it a birders paradise. Wildlife is shy but increasing with the protection now provided in the sanctuary.
In no other location on the East African coast can you potentially snorkel on a coral reef, watch turtles hatch out of their nest, indulge in a river boat safari in the tidal Wami River, walk in the Zaraninge coastal rain forest and partake in a coastal savannah game drive – all in the same day and all in one National Park.
Kisampa and Saadani National Park’s unique variety of ecosystems is both their beauty and their charm and allows massive diversity of animal, bird and plant life.
Despite ample birdlife and plenty of primates, large wildlife is quite shy so if you haven’t seen the big five – best you do so before coming to Kisampa.

Located on a beautiful Indian Ocean beach surrounded by the stunning bush of Saadani National Park, A Tent with a View offers a peaceful retreat from which to explore Tanzania’s only coastal wildlife reserve.
We have ten luxury tented accommodation and three luxurious suites including our truly unique honeymoon suite. All of our suites and eight of our luxury tents are elegantly perched on large wooden platform terraces whilst two are at beach level. All are private and well spaced along a pristine stretch of Indian Ocean beach. Each room offers full en-suite facilities and large balconies with hammocks overlooking the azure sea. Throughout the lodge, emphasis is on relaxation and appreciation of the natural environment, which we hope is reflected in the thoughtful design of the Saadani accommodation and restaurant bar areas. Guests can relax in one of our two bars with a choice of cold beers, cocktails or maybe an inviting gin & tonic before settling down to a mouth watering evening meal.
Freshly caught seafood is a speciality and combined with an extensive wine list you are assured of a memorable dining experience.
Local materials have been used wherever possible in the creation of our Saadani accommodation, including timbers from beached dhows, and from coconut palms felled by elephants.

The Mafia Island Lodge stands amidst tall palms on a sandy beach in Chole Bay, in the heart of the marine park near Utende village on South coast of Mafia.
34 comfortable rooms are set among the coconut palms with their own veranda overlooking the bay. They are all self-contained with air conditioning. Twin and double beds are available. Among the 35 rooms there are 2 family rooms with a living room. Hot and cold water is available 24 hours a day.
