Day Tour Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park is famous for the winding Tarangire River which does not dry up during the dry season and attracts animals from all around – including predators such as lions and cheetahs. It is home to large herds of elephants and ancient baobab trees.
Park size: 2,600 sq km (1,005 sq miles). Park landscapes include swamps, the river valley and impressive ridges.

Day Tour Itinerary
An early morning departure from your accommodation/residence and drive to Tarangire National Park.
Enjoy a game drive in Tarangire National Park, experience elephants cooling off in the swamps or wading in the Tarangire River. During the dry season, spy cheetahs and lions on the prowl along the river’s edge as zebras and gazelles come for a drink. Lucky safari goers might get a chance to see rare gerenuks or fringe-eared Oryx in this national park.
Enjoy lunch with a view of the Tarangire River, or overlooking a busy swamp where baby elephants are taking a bath.
Depart Tarangire National Park around 5 or 6 pm (park gate closes at 6 pm), and drive back to Arusha. Dinner at your accommodation.
