MIVUMO RIVER LODGE – Selous
Set to open on July 15th 2009, the Mivumo River Lodge comprises 12 superior rooms and 3 premium luxury suites decorated in an elegant African style of a bygone era incorporating local materials from the region. Each superior room consists of a luxurious bedroom and lounge with a private balcony offering an indoor bathroom, outdoor shower and an intimate plunge pool.
The rooms are spread out along the mighty Rufiji River to ensure privacy and exclusivity and provide a spectacular viewing location ideal for romantic getaway. Next to the main dining area, there is a lounge and library boasting spectacular views of the river. The lodge also boasts a sundeck and plush swimming pool.
SELOUS WILDLIFE LODGE
To complement the Mivumo River Lodge, a luxury tented camp unit located on the Eastern bank of the Simbazi River, a tributary of the Rufiji, is set to open on 1st August 2009. The camp comprises 12 tents positioned under individually grass- thatched structures which are luxuriously furnished with adjoining beautifully appointed majestic bathrooms. Each tent enjoys outstanding views of untouched wilderness, with scatterings of enormous trees and lush, dense vegetation.
The lodge has a separate dining area and guest lounge overlooking the natural watering hole which is also lit in the evenings for night viewings. This is all complemented by an outside viewing deck and swimming pool.
BEHO BEHO – SELOUS
Unlike the other lodges in the Selous in Southern Tanzania, Beho Beho is located in the highlands of the Selous Game Reserve so as to enjoy the cooling breezes from which its name derives.
Beho Beho’s stone built and palm thatched cottages, are not only a refuge from the equatorial sun nor are they just for sleeping, these spacious suites, which open up reveal unrivalled vistas of the bush, are designed as private homes with individuality and flair.
The open sided lounges and dining areas together with the cocktail bar and billiards room provide a sophisticated setting for post safari relaxation, with the swimming pool and decking, an ideal place to cool off.
Beho Beho is a luxurious base camp from which to explore on foot, by boat or by open safari cruiser the splendours of this large game preserve. Whether it is a walk followed by breakfast in the bush, or an evening safari drive ending with sundowners at an escarpment outlook, safaris at Beho Beho have given guests plenty of wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
RUFIJI RIVER CAMP
Rufiji River Camp is located on the banks of the Rufiji river, in a point where the ample and tranquil river is animated by many and different species of animals.
The tented camp, situated in the heart of the reserve, is environmentally friendly and each tent is equipped with private bathroom and a veranda facing the river. There is a constant flow of animals coming down to drink at the river offering a permanent show to visitors of the camp. The water is usually full of hundreds of hippos as well as groups of crocodiles that laze in the sun on the sandbanks in the river.
A structure in the central part of the camp hosts the restaurant, bar and library, all with a view of the river and the sunset. All of the camp structures, kitchen included, are constantly renovated, attaining the highest level of comfort without sacrificing the emotion of a total immersion in a completely natural environment. Electricity and hot water are powered by solar panels, while UHV-filtered drinking water is available throughout camp (including tents). A covered swimming pool is situated in the camp, between reception and mess area.
SELOUS MBEGA CAMP
The SELOUS MBEGA CAMP situated in its own forest reserve on the banks of the mighty Rufiji River, bordering Africa’s largest protected area the untamed Selous Game Reserve.

The Lodge is built on a hill with wonderful panoramic view. There are many types of different birds, wild flowers, butterflies and trees that can be seen nearby. The luxury self contained cottage are very comfortable and private. Each with its own balcony with a beautiful view.

The Great Ruaha River is the lifeline of the Park; we can offer you the privilege of your own riverside ‘banda’ designed to blend seamlessly into the surroundings. The local stone and thatch room has minimal impact on the environment and game viewing from your veranda is a relaxing and enthralling option.

VUMA HILL TENTED LODGE – Mikumi
Vuma Hills Tented Camp is an easily accessible and attractive camp set in a peaceful location on a rise about 15 minutes from the entrance to Mikumi National Park. “Vuma” translates from Kiswahili to mean “good gossip spread on the blowing wind;” this camp has the right ambiance and peace for you to listen to hear the gossip.
The 16 luxury tents all have a double and single bed, good bathroom, private veranda and each is tastefully decorated in colonial style. The public areas are set around the small swimming pool and with views over the Mkata River flood plains.
MUFINDI HIGHLAND LODGE
Located in the heart of a series of tea plantations deep in the southern highlands amidst spectacular mountain scenery reminiscent of Scotland, this is a private estate perched high on the edge of the Rift Valley escarpment. 8 small but comfortable en suite log cabins complete with bathtub, as well as a larger family cabin all looking out at stunning mountain scenery and lakes.
A large central 2 storey building contains the dining room, bar, television room, billiards room and lounge area as well as an outdoor balcony.
SABLE MOUNTAIN LODGE -Selous
The camp is small and intimate with emphasis placed on a true wilderness experience combined with warm hospitality. Eight stone cottages are spaciously situated over the Beho Beho hillside. Each cottage provides stylish Selous Lodge accommodation, the design element of which is in keeping with the surrounding natural environment. Each cottage contains full en-suite facilities, 24 hour solar lighting, a spring water supply and wonderful views from a private veranda over the forest towards the distant Uluguru mountains.
The lodge also offers three luxurious tented bandas raised up high on wooden platforms to afford the best possible views.
For something extra special, there are two luxury Tanzania honeymoon suites thoughtfully designed to guarantee an unforgettable romantic bush experience.
There are also two restaurant and bar areas at Sable Mountain. One is situated at the top of the hill and caters for the tented Tanzania safari accommodation. The other is based at the lower end of the camp and caters for the stone cottages. The former is situated near the swimming pool and lodging terrace affording fantastic views of the game rich hills and the path through the valley used by animals. The latter is close to the tree house, which overlooks a watering hole and is also just a few steps from our star gazing snug, the ideal place to observe the pristine night sky and experience the sounds of the bush. This open air restaurant serves international cuisine, and has a well stocked bar, the perfect setting to unwind before dinner. A solar fridge ensures that drinks are long and cool.
There is a natural spring water swimming pool situated at the top of the hill, close to the tented Tanzania safari accommodation and honeymoon suites.
