Zephniah S. Kambele (Zeph)
Zeph has been working in the tourism industry for over 10 years. Zeph met Egidius years ago working with a safari company in Arusha. They became fast friends as they worked together and decided to plan for their own safari company which is now RA Safaris Company. Zeph has extensive knowledge about the national parks from practical experience after having visited them for several years. He also attended training on Tour Operation Management at Mount Meru Tour Guide and Management College, which ensures a flawlessly planned trip. Enquiries to RA Safaris are mostly dealt to by Zeph, Gideon, and Eli. His favourite park is the Ngorongoro Crater. Zeph holds a BA (Resources and Environment) and MA (Development Studies) from the University of Dar es Salaam in addition to his training in tour operation management. Zeph will at times go out to the bush and mountain trek to update himself and have fun with his clients. He also works with the Open University of Tanzania as a Lecturer. Egidius F. Kabitulila (Gideon)
Gideon has been working in the tourism industry for over 10 years and has accumulated extensive skills and experience in the field. His operational dedication and expertise ensures a quality fulfilling trip in Tanzania. In addition to his management responsibilities, Gideon occasionally leads clients on safari as a driver/tour guide/leader, keeping him up to date on the latest animal migration paths and locations of the herds. He has practical experience as a mechanic and manages the fleet of RA Safaris vehicles apart from other operations. Gideon always has a smile on his face and tourists are bound to benefit from his positive attitude. Get prepared to smile throughout your experience. His favorite park is the Serengeti National Park. Gideon is renowned for spotting animals and birds with his naked eye. His clients are always amazed. Gideon has guided so many safaris and he lost track of how many times he has been in the bush tracking wildlife.
Gideon Completed his Ordinary Secondary Education in Arusha in 1994 but he originally comes from Lake Victoria Area. Immediately after his Secondary Education he started his journey to his current status. He did Tour Guiding Course at Tropical Tour Guide College in Arusha in 1995, and thereafter started hiking for Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru trips where he learnt a lot in tourism. Gideon as a fast learner and since he had dreams to fulfill, he learnt all what is ought to be a mountain guide and later added safari trips where he also had an opportunity to learn about wildlife. In 1996, Gideon spent a lot of time in a garage that belonged to his employer at that time, working as Assistant Technician as hard as he could while at the same learning to meet his dreams. Apart from working at the garage, he still kept on trekking Mount Kilimanjaro, Meru and Ol Doinyo Lengai and going on safari to support himself. In 1997 he was awarded a license to Guide tourists on Mount Kilimanjaro and Meru until 1999 where he thought he should focus on safaris now. In 2000 Gideon attended courses on Wildlife and guiding and since he had been working in the industry and knew the routes and wildlife, he qualified to be a tour guide for wildlife safaris and his employer at that time certified him to shift from technician/mountain guide and was assigned a Land Rover, so started to do safaris. While working, Gideon kept on updating his English and added French and Italian. Before focusing on RA Safaris, Gideon worked as a Tour Guide for well renowned safari companies in Arusha who were actually very unhappy to lose him but then wasn’t a choice. In 2005 Gideon attended a course on Walking and First Aid which was conducted in Tarangire National Park and in 2008 he again attended a wildlife refresh course for guiding, a one month course that was conducted in Serengeti National Park. Gideon is a native Tanzanian and speaks fluent English, French, and some Italian in addition to Swahili and his mother tongue. See his reviews
Elirehema Pallangyo (Eli)
Elirehema has diverse experience both on wildlife and mountain climbing. He served as a camping safari chef for years, later as as a camping manager in Serengeti before he decided to join RA Safarisfor on-job training to practice his field knowledge and experience. Eli works as a Travel Consultant and is a very resourceful. He will always be up to reply to your emails and send itineraries and any other required information. His experience in the field makes him very reliable in arranging proper itineraries as he has been to almost all National Parks in Tanzania so he know where you want to enjoy your holiday. He has also visited Mozambique.
Eli was born in Poli village, on the slopes of Mount Meru, in Arusha Region. He attended Primary education in Poli Village staying with his parents and rearing cattle while schooling. Later he enrolled for secondary education and completed his form four at Singe Secondary in Babati, Manyara Region. Eli is a native Tanzanian. He is fluent in English as well as Swahili. Salehe R. Mgongolwa
Salehe was born and raised on in Dar es Salaam, the business capital city of Tanzania. Salehe attanded his primary school education both in Kilimanjaro and Dar es Salaam. He then did Secondary education at Boza Secondary School in Pangani, Tanga Region completing in 1986. After completing Secondary Education Salehe decided to build his career by undertaking a diploma course in Tour Guiding at Mount Meru Tour Guiding College, in 1994 which makes his foundation in his job. After that he worked in hotels in while looking for his way to the desired target. He then had an opportunity to work with the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority Area (NCCA) from 2002 - 2004 which kept him close to the nature and his wishes for becoming a professional guide. While working with the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority Area, he managed to learn Mechanics which gives him extra confidence and safety assurance to his clients. He worked with the Ngorongoro Conservation Authority Area for three years which enriched his knowledge on both flora and fauna.
After completing his engagement with Ngorongoro Conservation, he has been working as a Driver-Guide. He happens to have worked with two renowned tour companies in Arusha before deciding to join RA Safaris Team. His knowledge and experience makes him competent in all aspects including Flora, Fauna and driving. Salehe can't recall how many groups he has taken on safari both for wildlife watchers, bird watchers, photographers etc. Salehe is fluent in English and Swahili.

Edward joined RA Safaris in 2011 after having worked with other renowned tour operators in Arusha. He is knowledgeable on flora and fauna, and in all general aspects. Edward, after completing his form four education, he immediately went for a mechanic course which gives him extra confidence when driving. He completed his form four in 1988, did mechanics course 1999-2000 then like most others he enrolled at Mount Meru Tour Guiding College. He have been guiding since 2007.

Elietinize (Elly) Ngowo
Orie has been working as Driver-cum Guide for over 8 years. He is knowledgeable on Flora & Fauna. He happened to be trained well by South African Investors for about three years which keeps him very confident and professional, ask him any question on flora and fauna you will have the answer. Orie has been out in the bush many times with Twitches, so that he can identify different varieties of birds from far with his naked eye or by their sounds.
Orie says he enjoys working with RA Safaris Co. Ltd because he feels he is in a team. His unforgettable scene was when he watched hyenas killing wildebeest. He has extensive experience both in the Northern and Southern Circuits. He has also been on safari in Kenya Parks and traveled to Zanzibar Islands. He is always with his fauna and flora books for updates.
Orie completed his primary and secondary education before making himself a professional Driver-cum Guide. He is a native Tanzanian and he speaks English and Swahili fluently. See his reviews
Emmanuel MgurumwaEmmanuel was born in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the heart on tourism where human and wildlife shares the same resources. He attended his primary education at Makao primary school in Ngorongoro Conservation area, so has been living close wildlife from his childhood. He later took his secondary education at Sarwat secondary school. In 1997 Emmanuel attended Tour Guiding Course at Mount Meru Tour Guiding College in Arusha. Since then he has been updating himself to Advanced level training in guiding tourists. He is rich in wildlife knowledge and the general understanding of Tanzania from socio-economic to politics and culture. He started working as a tour guide in1999 so he is well experienced apart from the trainings he has attended…over 10 years of guiding so one can imagine what to experience with him. In 2003 he also updated himself by attending Field Guiding in Serengeti National Park conducted by South Africans which added value to his understanding and guiding. Before Joining RA Safaris in 2008, Emmanuel worked with several highly rated tour companies in Arusha. Apart from his Guiding profession, Emmanuel attended Teachers’ College and awarded Grade IIIA level at Korogwe Teachers’ College in Tanga in 1995. He also attended a course on Auto Mechanics at Arusha Technical College in 1997, added with his experience; this gives him much confidence in driving and safety. Emmanuel is highly praised by tourists for his knowledge about flora and fauna and receives a lot of respect from his fellow guides. See his reviews
Fadhil has been working as Driver-cum Guide for more than 13 years. He is very knowledgeable and experienced. Fadhili originates from Southern Tanzania. Fadhili has guided tourists in all corners of Tanzanian so driving with him is admirable. His wish is to explore other parts of the world especially South Africa National Parks. Moses Gabriel (Askofu)
Askofu is swahili meaning Bishop. Moses entered the tourism industry since 1992 after completing his Secondary Education, learning camping safaris but later in 1993 he thought he should go back to school so he enrolled for Advanced Level Secondary Education which he completed in 1995. After completing in 1995, he energetically resumed his participation in the tourism industry and attended driving courses along with tour guiding and computer training. Since then Moses has been an active tour guide and he enjoys his work. He did Tour Guiding at Mount Meru Tour Guide College in Arusha and he has been updating himself in the field. He is always with his wildlife books to make sure he is current. Moses has guided many tourists and all ends up praising him. When you meet Moses you may feel a stranger but in minutes you will be friends. His smile and sense of humor receives high credit from his safari members. Moses is a very well experienced and knowledgeable guide on flora and fauna throughout Tanzania. He is very knowledgeable at wild animals and birding so whether you are after wild animals or birding you will be happy having him. You will also appreciate his knowledge about the Tanzanian economy and culture as a whole. Ask him any question, he will smile and then get you the answer. He always has a smile and you will surely be happy to have him as your guide. Moses was born on the slopes of Mount Meru and took his primary education at Nshupu Primary school then enrolled for Ordinary Secondary Education at Makumira Secondary School. He later did his Advanced Level Secondary Education at Siha Secondary School on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. He is fluent in English as well as Swahili.See his reviews
Amani has been working with RA Safaris since it's establishment (2004). Amani has extensive experience in wildlife. He started to work as a safari chef which has proved to be a plus in his knowledge. He knows the routes without a map or GPS.
Amani is a native Tanzanian, born on the slopes of Mount Meru. He speaks fluent English as well as Swahili. Amani’s favourite park is Serengeti because of its unspoiled nature. His nearest future plan is to become a driver-cum guide and he has started training for. See his reviews
Patrick makes part of RA Safaris Camping Team. He has been working as Chef for over ten years now. He is a professional chef from YMCA Hotel Management College in Kilimanjaro. He worked with several safari companies before realizing he should work with RA SafarisCo. Ltd. for each trip he likes cooking Pan Cakes and Tilapia Fish for his clients. Patrick’s best Camping site is Selous River Camp. He says “Camping on the edge of Rufiji River full of crocodiles and hippos is so fascinating” The sounds by the hippos in the night are amazing. Michael (at the center in the photo) has been working as Kilimanjaro and Meru Mountains Guide for years and he can not recall as to how many times he has been at the top…..”Oh! I can’t Count”
As many others, Michael started as a Porter and then Assistant Guide. In 1997, he was among those nominated by Kilimanjaro National Park Authority (KINAPA) for a one month Mountain guide training and so was certified as Full Licensed Kilimanjaro Mountain Guide. In 2006 he attended a two weeks course on Rescue and First Aid safety guiding, the training which was sponsored by KINAPA. Michael was born in Lyasomboro Village in Marangu. He did his Primary Education at Lyasomboro Primary School from 1986 to 1993 and Secondary School Education at Lombeta from 1994 to 1997. He is fluent in English, Swahili and Kimarangu which is his local language.
Michael’s favorite route for Kilimanjaro is Machame Route because of friendly weather and acclimatization (up and down) and he says. Michael is very good at diagnosing altitude sickness and he will always be telling you “POLE POLE” meaning ‘slowly slowly’.

As many others, Samson started as Porter, Chef and then Assistant Guide before getting licensed as trekking Guide. Augusti attended Guiding Training organized by Kilimanjaro National Park Authority (KINAPA) for one month. Later he was also nominated to join First Aid Course at YMCA in 1995. He is a professional and experienced guide who will surely make your trek happier and successful.
Samson was born at in Marangu. He did his primary Education at Komalyangoe Primary School between 1982 and 1988 and after completion he joined Uomboni Secondary School between 1989 and 1992. He is fluent in English, Swahili and Kimarangu which is his mother tongue. Samson has been a guide for over 5 years and as Michael, his favorite route is Machame. He says, “The route I most prefer is Machame because almost 100% of the climbers make it to the summit due to good whether hence no much of mountain sickness as other routes”.
